Well, when i was 4, my dad bought a trusty XBox.

在我四岁的时候，我爸买了一台 XBox

you know, the first, ruggedy, blocky one from 2001.

你懂得，就是那台 2001 年推出的结实、坚硬的 XBox

we had tons and tons and tons of fun playing all kinds of games together

我们父子在一起玩了很多的游戏，玩的不亦乐乎

until he died, when i was just 6.

直到他逝世...当时我才 6 岁

i couldnt touch that console for 10 years.

往后的十年，我根本无法接触那台 XBox

but once i did, i noticed something.

但有一次我开机后，我发现了一件事情 

we used to play a racing game, Rally Sports Challenge.

当时我们父子一起玩的一款游戏赛车游戏『越野挑战赛』

actually pretty awesome for the time it came.

实际上当年他推出时，真的很好玩！

and once i started meddling around... i found a GHOST.literaly.

当我开始游玩时...我遇到了真正的幽灵

you know, when a time race happens,

你知道的，在计时赛会发生的事情

that the fastest lap so far gets recorded as a ghost driver?

就是在计时赛当中的最佳纪录保持者，会以幽灵状态出来与你竞赛

yep, you guessed it

没错，答案呼之欲出了

his ghost still rolls around the track today.

老爸的灵魂直到今天依旧在场上奔驰

and so i played and played,and played,

所以我不断的挑战，一次又一次

untill i was almost able to beat the ghost.

直到我可以慢慢的可以追上老爸的灵魂

until one day i got ahead of it,i surpassed it, and...

直到那天，我终于跑到老爸灵魂的前面，我终于超越他了...

i stopped right in front of the finish line,

我在终点前放手 

just to ensure i wouldnt delete it.

不让父亲的灵魂就这样被我覆盖住
