Gene Tonics, unlike Plasmids, are passive rather than active, and provide buffs and perks to compliment your playstyle. Tonics are placed into one of three Tracks - Combat, Engineering, and Physical - and you can equip up to six Tonics in each Track. To earn this trophy, you must find, earn, invent, and purchase all 58 Tonics in a single playthrough.

Unfortunately, collecting all 58 is not an uncomplicated task.

First off, you'll need to rescue all 21 Little Sisters, not just for the ADAM you receive (which you need so that you can buy certain Tonics), but because Dr. Tenenbaum will reward you with three Tonics that you cannot acquire anywhere else (2nd, 5th and 6th rewards);
Second, you need to avoid killing Sander Cohen in Fort Frolic (you should be doing this anyway) before he rewards you for completing his "masterpiece";
Thirdly, you need to research a lot (you should be doing this anyway), as reaching certain research levels will earn you Tonics;
Fourthly, a number of Tonics that can be bought at a Gatherer's Garden can also be found throughout Rapture - only buy those listed below;
Lastly, you need to be frugal with your ADAM (it's a finite resource, after all), lest you run out of it before you can buy the last few Tonics you need.
